Family Engagement at Achieve
When families and schools partner, students thrive.
At Achieve Academy, families are essential members of our community. We believe in shared leadership, open communication, and meaningful involvement — because when families are engaged, students feel seen, supported, and empowered to succeed.
Whether you're looking to volunteer, lead, learn, or simply connect, there are many ways to get involved.
Conferences & Family Meetings
Family Meetings:
Held during the first two weeks of school to connect families and educators, review expectations, and build community.
Student-Led Conferences (TK–5):
Two per year — in October and February — where students share their learning and progress with their families.
Report Cards:
Distributed in December, March, and June — sent home or picked up directly from teachers.
Volunteer at Achieve
We welcome family volunteers in the front office, classrooms, and at events throughout the year.
To keep our students safe, regular volunteers must:
- Sign in at the office upon arrival
- Complete a volunteer form in the main office
- Be fingerprinted and provide a current TB screening

Family Leadership at Achieve
Every class elects two parent representatives to join the Family Leadership Council (FLC) — a group that meets monthly to support classroom-to-schoolwide communication and planning.
This is your chance to help shape the future of Achieve, represent your class, and partner with school leadership.
Stay Connected
Family Resource Center (FRC):
Visit or contact the FRC for help with everything from translation support and food access to event info and parent connection.

Community Meetings:
Held monthly via Zoom on the last Wednesday at 6:30 PM.
Topics include school announcements, upcoming events, data celebrations, and academic updates.

Parent Champion Meetings:
Held in person in the cafeteria on the second Wednesday of each month, 9:00–10:00 AM.
A space to learn about and co-lead schoolwide improvement in academics, operations, and student culture.
Schoolwide Events
We invite and encourage families to join us for community celebrations and academic showcases throughout the year, including:
- Back to School Night
- Literacy Night
- Winter Talent Show
- Spring Fling
- Fall Festival
- Book Fair
- Learning Showcases
These events bring our Alligator community together and create shared moments of joy and learning.
